With regards to more pure, well, I should think this one to be a little obvious. I hug and kiss my Nana and I’m not about to try to have sex with her.
We must all learn to love, not to lust. That’s the difference.
To purify your love and and to restrain your lust, that’s noble.
They are not all sexual in nature. It’s affection that you give to your children, parents, friends or someone in need while going through a rough time.
Because people have made intercourse a meaning less thing in life.
Hugs and kisses are purer in certain cases i guess.. like the person above said about her grandmother.. yeah.. you can hug and kiss a lot of people and it doesnt mean you want to have sex with them.. just a friendly gesture towards someone you like… not necesarily someone you want in that way though. I think it’s purer because in some cases people have sex just for having sex.. just to give in to their body’s lust.. rather than because they love the other person and after they’re done with what they want.. they just leave it and that’s not really pure. They’re not really all sexual especially hugs.. kisses can get intense… but it’s nowhere near intercourse.
well, a kiss i agree on. but not for hugs. i think intercourse is a beautiful thing that is between two people….and when you really know someone and have sex, it’s a wonderful feeling. (and MUCH better than a hug. :)
Giving and receiving hugs is a way to show that we care about someone. It makes us feel loved. It makes us feel close to the people that we care about. It is a form of non sexual contact that we share with one another. How often have you had a bad day and just needed a hug? It makes us feel safe and happy knowing that someone is close to us.
Because they are the ends themselves, where as sometimes sex is just for personal gratification.
Hugs and kisses are almost always heartfelt and meaningful. (in the situation you describe)
probably becuz you can hug and kiss in public and not be thrown in jail and even little kids understand that hugging and kissing is a way of showing love. You hug and kiss your parents, grand parents ,aunts uncles, sisters and brothers but you wouldn’t get freaky with any of them.
traditionally, the act of intercourse was done solely for procreation. The fact that it was pleasurable for both involved was not discussed. Now we understand that erotic kissing and hugging can be almost as satisfying as intercourse for both parties involved. However, I would like to think that there are times you might hug and kiss your lover in a non-erotic/non-sexual way. For instance your lover comes home from a bad day at work and you can see it in his/her face that he/she has had a bad day. When you kiss and hug your lover solely for their benefit and for no gratification for yourself, this is the type of hugging/kissing of your lover that is considered purer. As for romantic kissing, these may erotic or non-erotic, depending upon the circumstances. For instance, if you are in a public restaurant for your anniversary, I would like to think that you would share a romantic kiss with your lover without making it erotic. Then when you get home you may kiss her romantically and are free to be as erotic as you like if you are alone.
