Is there a difference? Is being in love with someone mean you are desiring them, and when you just love someone, your content or even sticking around out of guilt?
Everyone asks this question at some point in their life. Yes, there is a difference and it’s not always easy to figure out. The best advice I can give you is to not try and figure it out at all. The answer will come to you on it’s own. It’s not one you can make happen, it will have to happen TO you! You’ll know the difference when you need to.
You love someone could mean “as friends”, someone who you like to hang with, someone who could be like your best friend.
Your in love with someone, could mean that you would do anything for that person, you think about them all the time. you want to wake up with them knowing you could spend the rest of your life loving this person who loves you too. Someone who completes you. Your soul mate. Noises that would put you under the table when done in public, just makes you smile and then you realize how much you really do love him, no matter what.
That’s a hard question to answer and everyone has their own answer to that as well… Hm mm… I figured out I was in love with one day because I thought to myself… even if we never touch again, never speak, never have sex or kiss, I know I can get through anything as long as he is by my side.. there with me till the end.. crazy, yeah I know, but in the end all those people I love, I get by without, but my heart would break and I don’t know how I would live with out the one I am in love with! Good luck finding your answer though!
So yeah, I think that the difference is that with being in love with someone, that they love you back and you both know it. While loving someone, you love them but you don’t know if they feel the same about you. That’s just my thought though…I don’t have that experience.
