There are many different kinds of hugs, and I’m sure that if you have lived your life on planet earth, you should be able to distinguish between the different kinds of hugs. However, this one in particular makes me think that the fellow who embraced you in such a violent manner was probably trying to impress you with his gorilla strength, and was trying to “Cop a feel” at the same time. Could also be that he likes you and doesn’t know how to express it, and thinking like a caveman was his only way to win your feminine charms must’ve seemed a good idea.
There’s the 1 arm over the other person’s shoulder, usually really quick. Also a 2 arm, maybe last a lil longer. Some do a little pat on the back, even a slight rub. I notice usually rubs in back is the comforting hugs. My arms do not go over a person’s shoulder because I’m short but there are friends who hug me and lift me off ground. I do not like the spin while hugging type of hug.
Anyway I guess your rib breaking hug is probably the person is excited about seeing you?
The man is a wrestler (the bone-crusher). He really wants to let you know that he likes you but his emotions become physical. When he picks you up in a bone-crushing hug ..and shakes you around..then you really know he likes you
I would have to say that he likes you ….A LOT. Are you folks teenagers, or pretty young? My guess is that he is trying to show what a big strong guy he is. It is more that just trying to impress you , but to let you know that he is not a wimp and is worthy of your attention.
