Q&A: Do you get upset when people give your children toys that they are too young for?
Question by Puckered Up: Do you get upset when people give your children toys that they are too young for?
I went to a birthday party for a niece and noticed that she got toys for 3 year olds and she was turning 1. I was alittle upset but didnt say anything since she isnt my kid. But I dont know if I should say anything when it is my sons birthday, I dont want to be rude, but then again, there is a good reason for age ratings.

Do People Ever Outgrow the Joy of Toys?
Do People Ever Outgrow the Joy of Toys?
Contrary to popular representations, toys are not, and have never been just the domain of children. In fact, toys have consistently captured the imagination of the general public and are the companions of adults just as much as they are a mainstay in the lives of children the world over. Of course, the main reason for the enduring nature of toys is difficult to pin down; however, their variety and constantly evolving appearance and selection means that the value of simple toys and games as a means by which children and adults can amuse themselves is unlikely to fall out of date.
Toys date back thousands of years in our history. For example, many toys, including small carts, bird-shaped whistles and toy monkeys were excavated from the ruins of the Indus Valley civilisation which dated from 3000 to 1500 BC. Children in Ancient Egypt often played with dolls made out of stone or pottery, with wigs and moveable limbs; while infants in Ancient Greek and Roman civilisations occupied themselves with bows and arrows, terracotta or wax dolls and early yo-yos.
As technology has developed, today’s toys are more likely to be made out of plastic or other synthetic materials. But even as the way toys are produced and what toys can do has advanced, the fact that children play with and can learn from toys has not altered. For example, many toys can aid a child’s cognitive development and help them identify shapes, textures and sizes. Puzzles can also help in the mental development of growing children or young adults, teaching them the basics of problem solving and sometimes even the principles of certain scientific concepts: for example, Newton’s Cradle is a desk toy that demonstrates the conversion of momentum and energy.
Toys occupy such a large place in the public’s imagination that films often represent toys – otherwise inanimate objects – as living beings. Movies like Disney’s Toy Story 1 and 2, and 1998′s Small Soldiers (in which missile technology is used to enhance toy action figures) portrays toys as being ‘alive’ and taking on a power and force all of their own. The success of these films demonstrates quite clearly that toys are an obsession not just of the young, but the old alike.
Today’s flourishing online trading forums means that toy enthusiasts will be able to find a range of toys and games online with which to buy and sell to a huge variety of users. In fact, many online marketplaces will provide an opportunity to find rare toys and games, as well as particular models that may no longer be manufactured. So toy fans should be sure to check out the vast world of opportunities that exists for them online: after all, toys will always be important – whether they’re for you or your child.

How do German people greet each other?
Question by T E: How do German people greet each other?
Do they shake hands? Kiss on cheeks? Hug?
Any difference between men and women in greeting?
Best answer:
Answer by so confussed!!!
well it depends on how well the person knows the other. the women there hug and kiss there girlfriends cheeks.when it comes to men they might kiss the guys cheeks if he were to be dear to her.the men there defenitly dont hug or kiss each other, but then again it happens at times.if you were to come across a random male or female from germany they would most likely shake your hand follower by “guten tug! wie geht’s ihnen” meaning “good day, how are you ?or “good day how are you doing”?” hope this helped.

CAN PEOPLE CATCH KENNEL COUGH | THE TRUTH ABOUT KENNEL COUGH
CAN PEOPLE CATCH KENNEL COUGH | THE TRUTH ABOUT KENNEL COUGH
The question can people catch kennel cough is one that has not been discussed much. This will probably come as a shock to you but the answer is apparently yes especially in immune compromised people. You obviously know that kennel cough is around and that our pets are to be vaccinated against this problem before boarding them or exposing them to crowds of other animals. Imagine how you will feel if you could avoid catching this also.
Would you like to learn about home remedies for treatment of kennel cough? There are a few but let’s first discuss kennel cough.
Kennel cough is caused by a bacteria that is known by the name of bordatella bronchiseptica . The bacteria causes an inflammation of the upper airways. This condition is a respiratory problem that is highly contagious.
Symptoms of kennel cough are:
Dry harsh cough Gagging and/or vomiting Loss of appetite
More severe symptoms are:
Nasal discharge Fever Cough that produces phlegm Depression Green mucus
If your dog or cat has developed coughing with green mucus then take it to your vet right away.
Most pet boarding establishments require that you have your pet vaccinated within the last 6 months prior to boarding. If your pets do not have exposure to other animals then vaccination would probably not be required.
Some people have described kennel cough as similar to a cold in humans. As you would for catching colds practice good hygiene when around a dog or cat with kennel cough. Good hygiene includes hand washing and preventing yourself from kissing your pet on the mouth.
There are some home remedies for treatment of kennel cough both in adult dogs and puppies. Two of these home remedies are use of plantago lanceolata which is a herbal remedy that has been reported to expel mucus. Another treatment is with Bryonia C6 which is purported to clear mucus and to also soothe dry throat membranes. Cough syrups (Pediatric Robitussin)may also be used especially in puppies.
Antibiotics are often times used by the vet in treating kennel cough.
For additional information concerning home remedies for pets (cats and dogs) continue reading through the last paragraph.
Are you making any of the classic pet treatment mistakes which will cause you to improperly treat kennel cough? I hate to admit it but I have made most if not all of them myself. Find out what they are and how to avoid them by visiting http://www.natural-and-herbal-dog-remedies.com right now before you do any serious harm to your pet. They are a member of the family also.
I need some help coming up with a name for a craft business. Any creative people who could help!?
Question by Ashley: I need some help coming up with a name for a craft business. Any creative people who could help!?
Hi, I posted something like this awhile ago but I don’t think I gave enough information. So, let’s try again. I have a few hobbies and I thought I would try to sell some of them online, like ebay or etsy and I need help thinking of a good name for my store.
I have mostly felt food, dress up dolls, and plush educational toys for kids(shapes, colors, etc.) but I also like making jewelry and would like to try to add that to the store also. And last but not least I always wanted to learn to make soap and candles. Now I know that this is kinda all over the place so it makes it harder. If you think it would be to hard to have it all together then just give me some ideas for the kid related stuff and I can do something later about the soap/candles/jewelry type stuff. Though some of the jewelry is kid based too, like a personalized flower pendant.
Would love a play on words or something that wouldn’t only have to be used for the kids stuff and is more general would be great. But any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance!
Some ideas I had were with “Creative Play” in the title or maybe a play on “felt” or “sew” but I am kinda lost at this point, I think I am over thinking it and that is why it is getting a little harder now.

Would people buy handicrafted soft toys?
Question by MIKU: Would people buy handicrafted soft toys?
I am interested in making handicraft soft toys, like those animal shaped or food shaped ones for extra cash. And I don’t know if this will sell well, so I’m just wondering if people would buy such crafts?
