Question by SchoolSucks: I love my girlfriend but I think I need to break up with her?
Ok so I've been with my girlfriend for about 4 months now, and I just don't think it's going to work. The problem is that I feel like I'm always giving 150%... seriously. I always tell her how amazing she is and how I feel about her and all those things... but she has never said anything meaningful to me, other than "I love you" every now and then, but it sounds forced and fake. I always do things for her, like write letters, poems, make drawings, and even sing. She told me she wanted me to sing so even though it made me really uncomfortable I did it for her. I sometimes ask her to write me something or anything like that, and she just tells me that she doesn't like writing (like i do?), then I ask her to draw something and she says she will but never does. Btw, most of the things I do, I do without her having to ask me. I try really hard to make her feel as good as I can, maybe too hard. Another thing that bothers me is that she always talks about other guys at her work, and I would honestly rather not hear anything about them. She just talks about them in that way that just makes you feel uncomfortable, you know? I talked to her about that once, that I didn't want her to constantly speak to me about other guys, and she appologized and didn't talk about them for about 2 days, but then she started talking about them again. And that's what bothers me the most, I really don't care much if she doesn't do anything for me, but why does she tell me how other guys are always complimenting her and how interesting they are? I don't care about that! I always do that too, and I'm sure I do it better. All they say is that she has nice eyes, I tell her how everything about her is amazing, not only her eyes. She also tells me how one of them told her that he is going to give her a "really cute stuffed animal", and that she asked another one for a drawing because his drawings are amazing. She never told me that my drawings are amazing, which is ok, but I spend like 15 hours on each of them, and it would be nice if she at least recognized that I put a lot of effort into them. And this is going to sound dumb, but those guys from work always post things on her facebook pics like "damn you're pretty" and I really dont like that. We both had our relationship status hidden but a week ago I changed that and sent her a request but she ignored it. So if I always give 150%, is it too much to ask for her to give at least 50%? With her ex, whom she left for me, she always posted how much she loved him and all those things, but with me she hasn't posted a single comment. I feel that I really love her, like the thought of breaking up with her makes my heart ache, but I think it's better if I do it and I'm sure I'll get over it eventually. I mean, do you think I'll get over it? Like have you ever been with a girl that you think is so perfect, then break up, and eventually forget? Or do you think I will constantly keep thinking about her? I really don't want that to happen, like a parasite inside me that slowly kills me. I don't know, I just think I deserve a little more from her, what do you think? Should I call it quits?

Break up with her, she doesn't seem to understand a relationship takes work from both sides and she doesn't seem to have any respect for you either. You will get over eventually but it will be hard. When you meet a nicer girl though, you will be so glad you made the decision to dump her.
