For some reason, it just seems better for the X to be the kiss and the O to be the hug, but a few of my friends argued that the opposite made more sense. What do you think?

o is the hug
X is kiss and O is hug. Or, like in Nacho Libre, o is little hug and x is little kiss. Lol.
X is the kiss. It mimics the wrinkles the lips make. And O is the hug. It mimics the circle the arms make.
The circle is the hug – like your arms around someone.
The x is the kiss – like cartoon lips puckering
x is the kiss.

I’ve always thought the X was the kiss (imagine two profiles making contact at the mouth) and the O, a big circle, was the hug.
